Wow! This school year is flying by! We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break. Please enjoy the photos of us from the week before vacation.
We enjoyed playing dreidel with Eli's mom. We laughed at Mrs. Conley and Mrs. Jag who tried to outdo each other with their ugly Christmas sweaters. Mrs. Castonia and Mrs. Stuhr created wonderful activities for Star Wars week in the library.
Congratulations to Eleanor Weyenberg and Annabelle Foianini for becoming spelling bee finalists for the 5th grade. We wish them good luck in the school bee.
Before break the students met with their 8th grade buddies and discussed gifts of time or kindness. This assignment is due on January 24.
This is the assignment -
A "Gift of time or kindness" can make the world a better place. During the next few weeks, be brave, be caring, and do several small things or fewer bigger things that can make the world a better place. Keep notes on some of the things you did and how it made you feel. If you are able to see the person's reaction note that too.
